How to pace the Frankfurt Marathon
Frankfurt is a fast, flat course — around 30 metres of total climb — run in cool late-October weather, and a long-standing personal-best destination.
The profile barely moves, so there is nothing to force a rhythm; the discipline has to come from the clock. Lock onto goal pace by 5 km and resist drifting fast through the open early kilometres.
The finish is unusual: runners enter the Festhalle for an indoor red-carpet stretch to the line. It is flat, so a well-paced race can close strong right into the arena.
Set a goal finish time above and the calculator builds a split plan for this course, grade-adjusted from its elevation profile. New to pacing? Read the pacing strategy guide.
