How to pace the Seoul Marathon
Seoul is a fast point-to-point with a slight net downhill, run in cool March conditions and finishing with a lap of the Jamsil Olympic Stadium.
The course is largely flat, with only minor dips through underpasses along the Cheonggyecheon stream and the Han River. Nothing on the profile forces a slowdown.
This is an even or negative-split course. Hold goal pace from 5 km and use the flat, slightly downhill final kilometres and the stadium finish to close strong.
Set a goal finish time above and the calculator builds a split plan for this course, grade-adjusted from its elevation profile. New to pacing? Read the pacing strategy guide.
